Blown away…

Filed under: Black Mountain Cycles frames

I’ve been continually blown away by the response to my cross frames. And they aren’t even here yet. They’ll be here Monday, though. Provided the broker and trucker get everything coordinated as it was described to me. I’d like to thank everyone who I’ve talked to and who have ordered frames.

An update on frame availability: road frames in all colors and sizes are available. All sizes of brown cross frames are still available. Size 56 and 59 orange cross frames are sold out. Other sizes of orange are limited. When I was at Haro/Masi, we noticed the sales of the colorway featured in the catalog almost always outsold the other colors available. This seems to be the case here as well since it’s the orange frame that has been pictured here and on the various other blog mentions. The brown is nice too – more subtle. I’ve been riding the brown frame for almost 18 months.

Speaking of blog mentions, here are some links to some I’ve seen. Thank you to each of your for the mention. And a big thanks to Guitar-Ted for adding the spark to this viral marketing.

Guitar Ted Productions – Got the ball rolling with this post. Then announced he was going to run Dirty Kanza 200 with on my frame with this post. Continued to maintain momentum (as a big wheel proponent will do) with this post, and then this one. Thanks, Mark!

Gravel Grinder News mentioned the cross frames.

Velocity USA – I really like the Velocity A23 rim for both my road and cross bike. I’ve built up 6 wheelsets this week with A23 rims already.

Culture Cycles – From Burlington, VT.

Monstercrosser.com mentioned the cross frame on their Facebook page.

And, pssssst, the road frames are pretty awesome too! The road frame will be my first build as soon as the frames arrive. Pictures of that build early next week. Thanks everyone for the mentions.
