Salsa Vaya and Fargo – get yours now…

I’ll admit it. One of my shortcomings is I’m not a very good sales person. Probably not the best thing for someone who owns a retail shop. As a result, I don’t do as good of a job at getting the word out about things I’ve got for sale in the shop as I should. That’s about to change.
Salsa is out of stock on their Vaya models and I’ve got four in stock. I’ve got one each in a 54cm, 55cm, 57cm, and 60cm. Price is $1595. Each one is dialed in and ready to ride. I’ve upgraded the brake housing to compressionless type for the best brake performance possible. Salsa, in their defense, did upgrade the housings to Shimano from generic which is better, but not as good as compressionless housing. If you’re in the Bay Area and want a sweet bike to tackle light touring (for more hardcore touring, you would want a triple instead of the compact double – but the stock gearing does give you a 1:1 gear ratio, pretty low), mixed-terrain riding, commuting, or just general go-out-and-have-fun riding, the Vaya could be perfect for you.

I’ve also got a couple of Fargos. Well one Fargo complete and one Fargo frameset. The complete Fargo is the SLX model with a mix of parts and is size XL. Like the Vaya, the Fargo also has upgraded compressionless brake housing and is ready to ride. The frameset is an XXL – which according to their website, is not longer available for 2011, so if you’re 6’5″ or taller, you’re in luck! The Fargo SLX complete is $1425 and the XXL frameset is $395.

And if you come out to Point Reyes Station to pick up a Vaya or Fargo for your own bad self, I’ll treat you to lunch! That’s right. Make the trip out and I’ll stuff you with either a pizza from Cafe Reyes (awesome wood-fired pizza) or your choice of lunch fare from Whale Of A Deli (I highly recommend the carnitas burrito with everything and hot instead of mild). And if you’re a fermented beverage drinker, I’ve got a bottle of my home-brewed triple hopped ale I’ll include with your lunch!

That piece of tape on the top tube of the Fargo is to protect the tube from the bar end shifter swingin’ round and damaging the paint.

What do you mean you're not a very good salesman? With a lunch and beer on you, how could anyone say no?
